Bot Privacy Policy
Last updated 5 November 2026.
This covers the Vertex Protect Discord bot. The website is covered by the Vertex Studios Privacy Policy.
What the bot reads
The audit log of servers it's set up in, and the roles of members whose actions it needs to check. It also sees new messages so it can check them against that server's autoresponder triggers. Messages are never stored.
What it stores
- Each server's settings, such as the alert channel, limits and punishment.
- Trusted members and roles, Vertex Protect admins, and who added them.
- Counted actions, like bans and deleted channels: who did it, what it affected and when. Deleted after 24 hours.
- For quarantined members: their user ID, the roles taken from them, why and when. Deleted when they're released or leave.
- Incidents where the bot stepped in. Deleted after 90 days.
- Staff ranks and suspensions set with the staff commands. Deleted when someone's staff position ends.
- Autoresponder triggers and replies, until they're removed.
- The main server, roles and channels picked on the dashboard, and the text shown by
/vertex-info.
Nothing is sold or shared. Alerts are only posted in the channel each server picks.
Removing your data
Remove the bot from your server and its settings stop being used. To have them deleted straight away, ask in the Vertex Studios support server.
